New Artisan Food Experiences And Urban Foraging Courses In London From Food Safari




Food Safari, providers of food courses and workshops, is delighted to offer a programme of new courses in London. The Suffolk-based company has teamed up with a London artisan food and drink producers including Sipsmith, The London Honey Company and England Preserves to offer new behind-the-scenes courses in London.

In a new partnership with England Preserves, artisan producer of jams and jellies and chutneys, Food Safari has a launched a series of hands-on preserving workshop in their studio in Bermondsey giving you skills to preserve at home as well as insights into how the professionals do it. The first course on July 13 we will use summer fruits and on September 21 we will look at how to preserve the autumn glut.

For honey lovers Food Safari has teamed up with Steve Benbow, author and founder of the London Honey Company, renowned for their hives on top of the Tate galleries, Fortnam & Masons and Harrods. On May 18 you can go behind-the-scenes at the London Honey Studio in Bermondsey, learn about urban beekeeping and sample their range of honeys. For those interested in keeping bees in the city or country we have a practical beekeeping course on June 9 in north London..

Food Safari also offers a unique Urban Foraging course, combining a wild food foray in Stoke Newington, N16 with a hands-on cookery workshop and wild food lunch with the Culinary Anthropologist on June 22 and September 14. There will also be short introductory Taste of the Wild forays in Stoke Newington on May 18 and October 5 with wild food expert, Nick Saltmarsh.
