Steamer Trading Cookshop Launches Its First Transactional Website

2 November 2012

Multi award-winning, independent cookware retailer Steamer Trading has
launched its first e-commerce website. Visitors to www.steamer.co.uk can
purchase from Steamer’s extensive range of kitchen and homeware products,
and read advice from experienced staff members and Michelin-starred chefs
such as Phil Howard and Tom Kerridge.

Customer demand drove the move into online and it is hoped that the site
will now become a definitive resource for enthusiastic cooks, with top
brands including Le Creuset, Joseph Joseph, KitchenAid and Emma Bridgewater
in-stock.

Offline, Steamer Trading operates from 28 retail stores nationwide and is
widely acknowledged as the UK’s leading specialist cookware retailer.

Managing Director, Ben Phillips, worked with top digital agencies
Propellernet, True Digital and blubolt to create, launch and market the
site. He said:
“We were very conscious that in taking Steamer Trading online, we didn’t
lose the Steamer experience.

“Our customers hugely value the knowledge of our in-store staff and the
wealth of information available on our products, so we’ve developed
extensive content on-site for our customers.

“From an A-Z of cookware, which explains everything from an asparagus
steamer to a zabaglione pan, to in-depth buyer’s guides, which will help
cooks to purchase the right equipment for their kitchen, we’re confident
that we’ve created something that is truly special and reflects the values
of our brand.”

Further on-site functions include a wish list tool, FAQs, profiles of all
stocked brands and a cookshop finder. Visit www.steamer.co.uk.
