Restaurant Group, the company that’s brought Chicago some of its most popular
neighborhood restaurants, including The Smoke Daddy, Frasca Pizzeria & Wine
Bar, Dunlays, D.O.C. Wine Bar and soon-to-be, Crosby's Kitchen (June 2012), has
some exciting events coming up over the next month, including:
Meet the Artist
You may have noticed the beautiful artwork
featured on the walls of Dunlays on the Square, well now is your chance to meet
the artist behind the work! Dunlay’s rotating art exhibit features a new local
artist every several months, and for the first time ever they are offering the
public a chance to “Meet the Artist”. On March 29th at 7p.m, Dunlays will host
an event to meet the currently featured artist, Shawn Stucky. So stop in and
meet the man behind the artwork, while enjoying $4 draft beers and brand new
summer cocktails!
About Shawn Stucky:
Stucky was born red/green colorblind and
moved from McPherson, Kansas to Chicago in 2002. It was by coincidence in 2006
that he created his first screen print. His process is based on simultaneously
engaging his conscious and unconscious mind to express an intense emotion or
complex thought based on personal experience. He utilizes the challenge of
being red/green colorblind in his work by relying on value more than color.
Stucky has shown in various spaces in Chicago, New York and other cites on a
national and international scale.
Ballpark Bites
Starting April 5, the day of the Cubs
opener, and throughout the remainder of the season Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar
will be featuring a “Ballpark Bites” butchers plate, in honor of Chicago’s
baseball teams. The Ballpark Bites Plate includes all of the ballpark foodie
essentials; a soft pretzel, chorizo, mustard dipping sauce, cracker jacks and
corn nuts. The perfect pre or post-game snack!
Tax Day Refund
Now that everyone has payed their taxes the
Fourstar Restaurant Group would like to give their patrons a break. Stop into
any Fourstar Restaurant on April 16, and receive a tax free meal! The Smoke
Daddy, Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar, both D.O.C Wine Bars and both Dunlays will
be taking off the taxes from each bill, all day long.
Peeps for Our Peeps!
Join us for an Easter brunch, April 8, at Dunlays
on Clark, Dunlays on the Square or Frasca Pizzeria & Wine Bar. We’ll be
giving away peeps for our peeps! Each table will receive a complimentary basket
of the cute little marshmallow-y treats in celebration of Easter Sunday. Brunch is from 10 am to 3 am.
Pizza Class
Learn how to be your own gourmet pizza chef
with Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar’s Pizza Making Class on Thursday, April 26.
Pizza pupils sip wine and learn how to flip dough like the pros! The informal,
hands-on pizza cooking class, led by Frasca’s General Manager Jason Ring,
begins at 6:30pm and includes two glasses of wine for $30 per person. No one
leaves hungry because our pizza pupils get to eat their pizza creations!
Cupcakes and Wine
At D.O.C Wine Bar enjoy two of life’s
greatest indulgences; cupcakes and wine! On 4/4 D.O.C Wine Bar Chicago will
offer a wine flight of 4 wine tastings paired with 4 exquisite mini cupcakes
(curtesy of Molly’s Cupcakes). Add all of those fours together and what do you
get? The price for this delicious wine flight, $20! Enjoy the same cupcakes and
